Fairgoers will once again have the opportunity to take home delicious homemade treats while supporting local youth through the annual 4-H Food Silent Auction during the 2026 Rooks County Free Fair. Ten food items prepared by 4-H members will be on display in Harding Hall and available for bidding beginning Monday evening.

Bidding will remain open until 3 p.m. Friday, with the highest bidder purchasing the item. Rather than receiving the display item, the winning bidder will receive a freshly prepared version made by the 4-H member after the auction concludes. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the participating 4-H members, making it a great way to enjoy homemade baked goods while encouraging the next generation.
