Get ready to light up the night! As we mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, Rooks County is gearing up for its most dazzling Independence Day yet. While you prepare for the unforgettable sights and sounds, remember to check your town’s fireworks rules and keep safety a top priority so everyone can enjoy the festivities to the fullest.

In Stockton, the celebration peaks on Saturday, July 4th, when fireworks can be launched from sunrise all the way to midnight—giving you plenty of time to put on a show that lights up the town.

Plainville is set for a multi-day celebration: fireworks are allowed Wednesday, July 1st through Friday, July 3rd, and again on Sunday, July 5th, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day. On the big day—the 4th—you can start as early as 10:00 a.m. and keep the excitement going until midnight! For an extra splash, set off your display fireworks in the west parking lot of the Max Malin Memorial Ball Park, where the city encourages everyone to gather for a dazzling display.

In Palco, the festivities last for over two weeks— fireworks can be launched from Saturday, June 20th through Tuesday, July 7th, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. each day. That’s plenty of opportunities to make the sky sparkle!

Zurich residents can join the fun from Saturday, June 27th through Sunday, July 5th, lighting up the sky from 10:00 a.m. to midnight every day—ensuring each night is filled with brilliant bursts of color.

Codell’s celebration also kicks off on June 27th and lasts through July 5th, with fireworks permitted from 10:00 a.m. until midnight. Every night is a chance to create memories under the stars.

In Natoma, the celebration runs from Wednesday, July 1st through Saturday, July 4th, with fireworks allowed from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, giving everyone time to make this Fourth of July one to remember.

At Plainville Township Lake, you can light fireworks from Saturday, June 27th through Saturday, July 4th. Bring your best displays to the water’s edge, but don’t forget to keep the lake beautiful by picking up after yourselves!
