The 16th annual Swing Into Summer Cruise Night and Car Show is happening on Friday, June 19th, and Saturday, June 20th! Here’s what to expect over the two exciting days:

Friday, June 19th: Put your pedal to the metal for Cruise Night! Antique and sports cars, trucks, motorcycles, and anything else with wheels and an engine will be 'Dragging' Main Street from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Food vendors, local organizations, and school groups will be set up along the sidewalks. Bring your lawn chairs, find the perfect spot, and enjoy the evening by watching the cars, socializing with friends, and savoring delicious treats from vendors. (Cruisers, please remember to follow traffic rules—use your turn signals, stay within the speed limit, and watch for pedestrians, etc. The Stockton Rodders, Inc. also strongly discourages the public using water boxes along the cruise route).

And cruisers, while you are dragging Main, make sure to swing by the Solomon Valley Manor!

Saturday, June 20th: Start the day early at 7:30 a.m. by grabbing breakfast at The Daily Grind trailer! Then Registrations for the Car Show (location marked with a bright yellow banner near the soccer fields) that have not already been mailed in will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Stockton City Park (Hwy 24 just west of the stoplights and straight south of the high school football field). The suggested donation is $25.00 per vehicle, which includes two meal tickets. Please make your checks payable to Stockton Rodders, Inc., 109 North Elm Street, Stockton, Kansas 67669. If you have any questions, call Dean Kester at 785-425-8432. At 11:00 a.m., the Stockton Fire Department will host a fundraiser meal. Please come support this worthwhile cause!

And everyone is invited to enjoy games, Chicken Bingo, raffles, a bounce house, Hot Wheels drag racing, RC racing at 11:00 a.m., Kid packets, and much more at the Park throughout the day (Information and games near or at the tent next to the lower shelter house). Listen to great rock 'n' roll music while strolling in the shade of the trees where the vehicles will be displayed. Be sure to check out the food and unique merchandise from various vendors scattered around the park. Then at 3:00 p.m., there will be announcements of the winners of the Cruise Night and Car Show.

There’s plenty to see and do, so don’t miss this special summer event! See you there, or be square!

Proceeds will benefit the Stockton Rodders Scholarship Fund and the Stockton Fire Department.

This car show is brought to you by STOCKTON RODDERS, INC., along with Rooks County EMS, the City of Stockton, and the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce.
