Shannon Leigh McGuire was born on August 21, 1973, in Osborne, Kansas. She passed away on December 27, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Shannon grew up on the family farm and was educated at Osborne Elementary and Smith Center Elementary, proudly graduating from Smith Center High School in 1991. ften describe her as feisty, fearless, and fiercely protective of those she loved.

She worked at Jiffy Burger during high school. Throughout her career, Shannon brought dedication and passion to her roles at Classic Eagle, O'Malley Beverage Company, and Western First Aid and Safety.

Shannon is survived by her devoted husband, Chris Adams, of Topeka; her mother and step-father, Brenda (Reed) Stahn; and siblings: Jeremy (Jessica) McGuire of Hays, Allison (Mark Spears) McGuire of Lucas, David Sturgeon (Donel) of Plainville, Rose Sturgeon of Denver, Colo., Tom (Ronda) Mc-Guire of Independence, Mo.; Shelly (Bill) Mc-Guire-Herbert of Belton, Mo., Cindy (Alan) Poore of Alton, Toby (Jodi) Boyle of Smith Center, Matt (Carly Stahn) of Des Moines, Iowa, and Will Stahn of Lincoln, Nebraska; and her mother- in-law, Beth (Wayne) Kalsow of Markesan, Wisc.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Richard McGuire.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Blue Sage Barn, 1484 Wildcat Creek Road, Manhattan, KS 66503. Memories will be shared beginning at 12:30 p.m. The family kindly asks that RSVPs be sent to the funeral home by email to Misty Patel at mpatel@newcomer.com.
