Rooks County Health Center Auxiliary Memorial Tree Lights fundraiser underway
Honor a loved one; Deadline is December 10th
Since 1986, the RCH Auxiliary has sponsored a scholarship fundraiser leading up to the Christmas season— the Annual Memorial Tree Lighting. Each year, the Auxiliary illuminates memorial lights in honor of a deceased loved one, which are listed in the Memorial Book for the public to view in the RCH front lobby.
The Memorial Tree Lighting gives family and friends a moment to reflect upon how loved ones have made such a difference in our lives and community; it is truly a wonderful and meaningful way to begin the holiday season. In 2020, the Auxiliary started the tradition of recording the Memorial Tree Lighting ceremony so all could listen in their homes at a time of their choosing and share again and again.
In order for your loved one’s name to be included in the recorded lighting ceremony, the names and monies must be received by December 10. Anything received after that date will only be included in the RCH Auxiliary Memorial Tree Lighting book exhibited in the RCH Lobby.
Gifts to the Scholarship Fund will enable a scholarship recipient in a healthcare field of study to ease the pain of a loved one, find a cure for a dreaded disease, or even save a life.
Memorial lights are $5.00 per name. The Auxiliary also accepts donations to the Memorial Scholarship Fund. All gifts and donations are 100% tax deductible. If you would like to make a gift, please pick up a form in the RCH Lobby or Admissions Desk, Auxiliary Gift Shop or contact Kathy Ramsay (785) 737-3590, Sandi Rogers (785) 425-8445 or Auxiliary Treasurer Shirley Comeau (785) 737-3492.
