This ‘n That
* Every 80s person knows that before the Halloween movie “Hocus Pocus” came out, we had “Teen Witch!” Break out that VHS tape!
* Move over Christmas! My neighborhood is “lit up” for Halloween! Hope you all drive by and enjoy the lights and spooky creatures.
* After eating all the cookies in the cookie jar, do you guys need something salty to eat?
* Actor Kathy Bates is starring in the remake of the TV series “Matlock.” I was skeptical about this since I enjoyed watching Andy Griffith as Matlock years ago and still enjoy watching the reruns. But I did watch the first episode of her series because I like Kathy Bates, and I have to say, it is wonderful! The series starts Thursday, October 17th, on CBS, so enjoy this new spin on an old classic. Please watch the first episode; you can probably find it streaming somewhere before the series starts, as it sets up the show’s premise.
* Please continue praying for all those affected by the hurricanes, flooding, and aftermath.
* Got to say it: I am not a big fan of Channing Tatum for the role of Gambit. Just because he has always dreamed of playing the part isn’t a good enough reason to cast him in the role. I think he is not the best person to play the role because I saw Taylor Kitsch play Remy LeBeau/Gambit in one of the X-Men movies. If you know, you know.
* Why does every store think we all want to decorate our Christmas tree and eat turkey in our Halloween costumes?
* Remember when we couldn’t wait for the Sears Christmas Catalog to arrive?
* Love this Dad joke: “I sent Dad this text, ‘There’s a beetle crawling across my ceiling.’ He texted back, ‘Is it Paul or Ringo?’
I wrote, ‘Help!’ He replied, ‘I need somebody.’” * Here is another cute one…. “My Roomba just beat me to a Cheeto that I dropped on the floor. This is how the war against machines begins!”
* Charlie Brown loves his new house. He got it for peanuts!
