* Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, but I still don’t know why we have to celebrate Christmas in July just because that’s been a thing for so long. And now Hallmark is creeping into June with a week’s worth of their Christmas movies! Plus, they already show Christmas movies once a week throughout the year. I say enough is enough! Let’s get through the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Halloween, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving first!

* When he was just the prince and heir to the throne of England and married to Diana, Charles played second fiddle to her whenever the two were out in public. Now it seems history is repeating itself since, let’s face it, people watched Trooping the Colour this year to catch a glimpse of Catherine, the Princess of Wales, even though King Charles was standing right beside her on the balcony. Just check out the pictures.

* I spoke too soon. I now have a number of little hollyhock plants sprouting by my fence. I will baby them, talk to them, water them, and feed them plenty of plant food so hopefully next year people can enjoy an array of pink, white and purple flowers from the street. I will still keep the hollyhocks that decided to grow in the middle of my yard, but my main goal is to have a row of them lining my back fence like Bobka had in her yard. Her garden was magical.

* Who remembers the song “House at Pooh Corner?” * I liked this “Something to Ponder” I found on the internet. It goes like this…“The United States has become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance. I have NEEDED a doctor. I have NEEDED a teacher, I NEED farmers every day. I have NEEDED an auto mechanic, plumber, a house painter and a lot of other everyday working class people. But I have NEVER, not even once, NEEDED a pro athlete, a media personality, or a Hollywood entertainer for ANYTHING!

* Here’s another one for a laugh….. “Last night I had a horrifying dream that Disco was actually making a comeback. At first I was afraid, I was petrified….” * Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazulla, after winning the NBA Championship, wore a shirt that read. “But first…let me thank God.”
