HCF serves up change during Community Foundation Week
Heartland Community Foundation celebrated Community Foundation Week, November 12–18, by honoring locals with “Caught Doing Good” awards and introducing a new Giving Menu concept.
Community Foundation Week celebrates the ways community foundations support neighbors, nonprofits, and local projects in thriving communities. Heartland Community Foundation’s new Giving Menu highlights all that a community foundation offers by inviting the community to their table, where everyone has a seat. Whether it’s choosing the organization, the type or size of gift, or the cause donors care about most, Heartland Community Foundation helps donors nourish their community.
“Giving isn’t one-size-fits- all,” said Sarah Meitner, Heartland’s Executive Director. “Think of our Giving Menu as a way to explore all the ways your generosity can make a difference—pick a small taste or the full entrée and know that every choice matters.”
Heartland Community Foundation also recognized individuals throughout Ellis, Rooks, and Trego Counties who go above and beyond for their community. Community members nominated others they see doing great things. These individuals keep organizations moving forward and create a sense of community.
At Heartland Community Foundation, we help neighbors give, grow, and lead, so every dish served and every act of generosity helps our community flourish.
