Dear Editor, Our family is heartbroken. At midnight on August 9, our German shorthaired pointer, Lucy, was apparently hit by a car. We let the dogs out like we always do. She was the last one to come back. Dennis heard a “yelp,” and Lucy was dead on our front porch. ...
