Stockton Fire Department called to 422 Main Street Tuesday morning last week

At 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4th, a fire call went out to the Stockton Fire Department for a “possible structure fire” at 422 Main Street which currently houses the Motion Dance Company. Most will remember this as being the former Smith's Store and also the End Of The Line Hobby Shop. After the volunteers cleared the smoke out of the building, it looked like a small fire had started in the back of the structure. According to Fire Chief Ray Niblock, the cause of the fire is being attributed to something falling in front of a small gas heater in the back room of the building.
