Nicodemus Celebration begins Thursday

The 143rd Emancipation Celebration returns to outdoor events in 2021and will take place July 29th, 30th, 31st, and August 1st in Nicodemus.

Tickets are $10 at the gate for the four-day weekend celebration for ages 13 & up. Wristbands will be provided onsite after payment. This allows the convenience to come and go all weekend long.

Featured will be some of the traditional events such as: the parade, 5K Run/Walk, baseball game and children’s activities.

There will be a host of live events on social media platforms for everyone’s enjoyment.

The health and safety of the community is their top priority. To allow people to gather safely, enjoy food, drink, and live entertainment, they will have hand sanitizer available throughout the park and will be following local guidelines.

The Celebration Committ is thrilled to welcome everyone back this summer to celebrate the 143rd year as they are ”looking ahead to a brand new day.”
