I-70 closed between Oakley and Russell

The Kansas Department of Transportation has now closed both westbound and eastbound I-70 between Oakley and Russell because of blowing snow, reduced visibility, and crashes blocking the roadway. Westbound I-70 also remains closed at Goodland.

Motorists should not attempt to avoid interstate closures by using secondary routes and are asked to avoid travel if possible. Those currently on the roadways should find shelter at a safe location until conditions improve.
