The McKenna Youth & Activity Center (MYAC) is inviting everyone to celebrate the spirit of the season with its 4th Annual Christmas in July on Saturday, July 18, in Palco. The day-long event will feature familyfriendly activities, games, entertainment, food, and plenty of opportunities for summer fun.

The festivities begin at 8 a.m. with car show registration, followed by Frisbee Golf at 8:30 a.m. Participants should check in with Taylor at the golf course. A Color Run begins at 9:30 a.m., with check-in taking place at the McKenna Youth & Activity Center. Throughout the morning, visitors can also enjoy free prize drawings, gym activities, and movie specials inside MYAC.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., craft and food vendors will be on hand, along with a variety of attractions including a dunk tank, foam machine, bouncy castle, Mauck 9 R/C Racing, and Corbin's Crawlers.

The afternoon promises even more excitement. Children can keep an eye out for Santa Ducks and meet Santa himself while enjoying a cool pop. The Palco Fire Department will operate a water slide from 1 to 3 p.m., and a mechanical bull will be available from 1 to 3 p.m. A free showing of the liveaction Moana begins at 2:30 p.m., with popcorn available and fountain drinks priced at $1.

Adults can enjoy the Beer Garden, hosted by the Damar Knights of Columbus, from 4 to 7 p.m., while the evening meal features a MidAmerica Cookout at 5:30 p.m., prepared and served by Bigge’s. The Palco Lions Club will also provide watermelon to help everyone cool off.

The celebration concludes with a Corn Hole Tournament at 6 p.m., with participants asked to check in with Kyle behind the McKenna Youth & Activity Center. Organizers also extend a special thank-you to PDZ and the many other contributors who help make the annual event possible.

People of all ages are encouraged to come out for a full day of festive fun, great food, and summertime entertainment as Palco celebrates Christmas— just a few months early!
