Sentinel:

The Google road trip by Nancy Becker to other cities named Stockton in the USA was so real I had to keep checking to see if she was really on the road or not as the story was so descriptive. I really enjoyed the search series.

It was even more interesting as we have made two actual almost 3,000 mile road trips lately— one in November north to Iowa for a wedding and then on to Minneapolis, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Hannibal, Jefferson City, Kansas City, Abilene and then to Dallas and one in early March to visit our daughter and family in Greeneville, TN with pre-stops in Memphis and Nashville and then postvisit stops in Charleston, SC. to see Fort Sumter that was closed the last time we were there due to the Federal budget shutdown; Savannah,GA. (my now oldest brother lives there), Atlanta to see Jimmy Carter Presidential Center, Pensacola, FL to see my youngest brother before heading back to Dallas via a stop in Marshall, TX. where we found some great BBQ. We ran into a lot of the same type problems that you describe in trying to keep to a schedule on motel reservations and making plans to meet with family members.
