The Board of Trustees of Prairie Land Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirk Girard as the cooperative’s next CEO.

Ronald Griffith, Board President, said that, “Kirk is the latest in a long line of Prairie Land executive who was recognized as an outstanding talent when he was hired, who set himself apart by the way he conducted himself while handling mission critical responsibilities, and who responded to the mentorship of the senior members of the management team in a positive way to become the leader he is today.”

“Not only has Kirk been a key management partner here at Prairie Land, he is a highly respected member of the rural electric cooperative community across the state of Kansas having been involved in meetings at Kansas Electric Cooperatives and Sunflower Electric Power Corporation for sevral years. In those organizations’ board rooms, Kirk will be a strong advocate for rural electric cooperative principles and for the members of the Prairie Land Electric Cooperative. The Prairie Land Electric family will be in very capable hands,” commented CEO Look.
