Nineteen members of the Stockton High School KAY Club and three of the junior high KAY officers, along with sponsor Bobbi Basart, attended the KAY Unit Conference at Northern Valley on Wednesday, February 5th.

The members networked with other KAY clubs from Area 4 to share service ideas and listen to motivational speakers. The students always enjoy hearing from KAY Executive Director Cheryl Gleason.

During the morning activities, the members broke out into various groups with the other schools for service projects that were completed during the early session.

The group has also moved to the second phase of the “Be The Spark” Campaign from a joint effort with BC/BS of Kansas and the KAY organization. This campaign is an effort to receive a grant to complete a project, proposed by Jace Hull that will benefit the health of our students and community.

Following the conference, the group stopped for lunch and enjoyed more time collaborating on service ideas for the school.
