Auto-correct at work once again

Computers and all the amenities that go with them can be great. However, there are times they actually can cause issues. Such was the case in last week’s election story naming the USD No. 271 Board of Education candidates. In the article, the names of BJ Hoeting and Daphne Plumer (yes, as the names were just now typed, they auto-corrected again to “Hosting” and “Plumerias,”) were incorrectly spelled due to auto-correct...and poor proofreading. We sincerely apologize for this error, and will attempt to do better next time.
