April 2nd Stockton Board of Education special meeting minutes

(The following article is taken from the unapproved minutes of the April 2nd special meeting.)

A special meeting of the Stockton Unified School District No. 271 Board of Education was held Thursday, April 2nd, 2020 in the District Office at 7:30 a.m. with the following present: Board member Linda Conyac and superintendent Bill Lowry in the Board Room, and board members Aftan Tso, Jesse Stithem, Stephanie Niblock, Daphne Plumer, Leann Dix and Mark Billinger, high school principal Gary McCown and grade school principal Stacey Green via Zoom.

The meeting was called to order by president Linda Conyac. A motion was made by Linda Conyac to approve the agenda. The motion was seconded by Mark Billinger. Motion carried. The Board discussed

The Board discussed a Continuous Learning Plan for the remainder of the school year. A motion was made by Linda Conyac to approve the Continuous Learning plan for the period of April 3rd to May 15th as presented. The motion was seconded by Jesse Stithem. Motion carried.

A review of the Memorandum of Understanding for STA was presented and reviewed by the Board. A motion was made by Linda Conyac to approve the COVID-19 MOU with the Stockton Teachers Association for the period of March 13th, 2020 to May 15th, 2020 as presented. The motion was seconded by Stephanie Niblock. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Linda Conyac to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Jesse Stithem. Motion carried.
