New owner plans to bring 140-year-old mansion back to life

ABILENE — The Lebold Mansion in Abilene has a new owner, a modern Renaissance man of sorts who has a number of ideas to bring the historic mansion and the public together once again. Joseph Tatner became the owner of the nearly 150-year-old property on June 28. The mansion, which bears a striking resemblance to the Addams Family home, has had a long list of owners which include more than its share of colorful characters, and Tatner acknowledges that he is no exception.

In the sequel to Dream Works Animation blockbuster comedy, the Templeton bothers—Tim (James Marsden) and his Boss Baby little bro Ted (Alex Baldwin)—have become adults and drifted away from each other. Tim is now a married stay-at-home dad. Ted is a hedge fund CEO. But a new boss baby with a cutting-edge approach and a can-do attitude is about to bring them together again… and inspire a new family business.

During the regular meeting of the USD 271 Board of Education on Monday, July 12th, the board voted to hire Rhonda Rogers as the new grade school secretary.

Stephanie Niblock is the new board president, replacing Linda Conyac.
